We welcome and encourage visitors to visit family and friends who are in the hospital.
We have open visiting hours but ask that you please check with the front desk and/or the nurses’ station prior to visiting. A quiet hospital environment is very important for patients who need their rest. We ask that all visitors please be considerate of this.

Waiting areas
Waiting areas for family and friends are located throughout the hospital. The surgery waiting area is located right next to the surgery wing. This is where our nursing staff will look to update family and friends during surgical procedures.
Chapel and quiet room
Our chapel is located on the southeast corner of the care center, just to the left of the main entrance. The chapel is open to visitors and family members. Local churches also hold services in the chapel on a rotating basis each Sunday for the residents in the care center.
There is also a quiet room available for visitors and family members located northwest of the obstetrics wing in the hospital.
Tobacco-free policy
As a healthcare provider, we are concerned for the health of all members of our community and our patients. Powell Valley Healthcare is a tobacco-free campus, and tobacco and smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor and outdoor areas.
Wireless internet
PVHC patients and guests may access the internet through our wireless connection (PVHC_Guest). Please ask any staff member for the password.
