PVHC Volunteer Services operates our hospital gift shop. The gift shop offers a great selection of gifts for newborns, cards for various occasions and various yummy treats. The volunteers also operate two candy and chip vending machines within the facility. One is located in the hospital cafeteria and the other near the inpatient medical/surgical unit.
All proceeds from the gift shop and vending machines are used by the volunteers for local student scholarships and PVHC projects, such as new furniture for the waiting areas, blankets for residents in the Care Center, or beauty shop equipment and supplies in the care center. The volunteers provide more than $9,000 each year for local students pursuing education in the healthcare field. They have contributed over $80,000 in scholarships to staff and local students.
