Our Mission:
To assist the Powell Hospital District and
the community in providing quality health care services through the
solicitation and administration of gifts and donations.

in 1983, Powell Medical Foundation raises and manages charitable
gifts to financially support Powell Valley Healthcare as a
not-for-profit area health care organization. Powell Valley
Healthcare’s mission is to provide excellent health care and
exceptional customer experiences.
Powell Medical Foundation, a 501(c)3 community owned
not-for-profit charitable organization, is governed by a 19 member
Board of Directors made up of individuals drawn from the area
community and health care organizations. Our Directors are dedicated
individuals who voluntarily give their time and resources and who
share a common interest in quality health care for the people of our
region.
Our Foundation’s funds are used for projects that improve health
care, but are not a part of the general operating budget of our
health organization. Gifts to Powell Medical Foundation are used to:
- P urchase patient care equipment
- Enhance patient-related programs and services
- Provide education programs to improve the health of our area’s
citizens
- Provide scholarships to outstanding students embarking on
careers in health care
- Build endowment to assure, in perpetuity, that health care in
our community meets the highest standards of care and service
- Construct and upgrade facilities
Special designations may be placed on contributions to assure
support for special projects in the Powell Hospital District.
Non-designated gifts are distributed by our Foundation’s Board of
Directors to the areas of greatest need within our health care
organization and the community.
Our Foundation is grateful for the support of those who
contribute to the Powell Medical Foundation. Their philanthropy has
helped make Powell Valley Healthcare a leader in our area as a
highly skilled and deeply committed health center providing the
highest quality care with integrity and compassion. Powell Medical
Foundation’s donors, through their gifts, help preserve our
heritage, maintain standards of performance, and mold Powell Val-ley
Healthcare as a health organization responsive to patient needs. We
thank those who honor the philanthropic spirit and health of our
area’s citizenry through their gifts to Powell Medical Foundation.
